A Generalization of Monotonicity Condition And

چکیده
It is well known that there are a great number of interesting results in Fourier analysis established by assuming monotonicity of coefficients, and many of them have been generalized by loosing the condition to quasi-monotonicity, O-regularly varying quasi-monotonicity, etc.. Generally speaking, it has become an important topic how to generalize monotonicity. Recently, Leindler [5] defined a new class of sequences named as sequences of rest bounded variation and briefly denoted by RBV S, keeping some good properties of decreasing sequences. A null sequences C := {cn} is of rest bounded variation, or C ∈ RBV S, if cn → 0 and for any m ∈ N it holds that

Generalization of -Centroidal Mean and its Dual
In this paper, the generalized -centroidal mean and its dual form in 2 variables are introduced. Also, studied some properties and prove their monotonicity. Further, shown that various means are partic- ular cases of generalized $bf{alpha}$-centroidal mean.
متن کاملA Generalization of Hilbert’s Inequality
In a generalization of the classical Hilbert inequality by Hardy, Littlewood and Pólya, the best constant for an inequality is determined provided that the generating function for the corresponding matrix satisfies certain monotonicity condition. In this paper, we determine the best constant for a class of inequalities when the monotonicity condition is no longer satisfied. Mathematics subject ...
متن کاملSum Formula for Maximal Abstract Monotonicity and Abstract Rockafellar’s Surjectivity Theorem
In this paper, we present an example in which the sum of two maximal abstract monotone operators is maximal. Also, we shall show that the necessary condition for Rockafellar’s surjectivity which was obtained in ([19], Theorem 4.3) can be sufficient.
متن کاملA Necessary and Sufficient Condition for Rationalizability in a Quasi-linear Context
(a) The one-dimensional context, which shows that our condition is a generalization of the monotonicity condition of Spence-Mirrlees, (b) The linear set-up, which shows that rationalizability in multiple dimension requires more than monotonicity: it implies also symmetry conditions which are translated by Partial Differential Equations (analogue in this context of Slutsky equations for Revealed...
متن کاملA Remark on “Two-Sided” Monotonicity Condition: An Application to L Convergence
In Fourier analysis, since Fourier coefficients are computable and applicable, people have established many nice results by assuming monotonicity of the coefficients. Generally speaking, it became an important topic how to generalize monotonicity. In many studies the generalization follows by this way (see, for example, [8] for definitions): (coefficients) nonincreasing ⇒ quasimonotone ⇒ regula...
